This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the District of Squamish (the “District”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for WWTP Outfall Extension Detailed Design and Contract Administration, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”). 

The District of Squamish is seeking a professional engineering consulting firm to assist with the detailed design, permitting, and to provide contract administration services for the WWTP Outfall extension project. Several permits will be required prior to construction which require advancing the design. Permitting timelines are on the critical path of the project and the District is therefore seeking to advance the design as quickly as possible to enable submission of permitting applications with a target of constructing during the 2024 Instream Work Window

The Consultant must appoint a contact person (and back-up) to receive and respond to the District’s requests and questions. This person should remain consistent throughout the duration of the term of this work and any necessary changes to the contact person are subject to the District’s approval.

The Consultant is expected to drive the assigned projects to meet the established timelines. This will require the Consultant to be proactive in their project management approach, including but not limited to, regularly scheduled project meetings, conference calls and other means of communication to achieve the deadlines imposed.
