The District is accepting proposals to develop a multi-year plan that identifies treatment areas and available funding sources. Key deliverables and include:
1. Develop a three-year fuel management work program for priority locations
2. Provide support and advice for other related aspects of wildfire planning
3. Prepare Community Resiliency Investment Program funding applications each year and assistance with the preparation of final reports
4. Provide oversight during operational treatments
The District would also like to include the following two projects in the scope of work:
1. Completion of FireSmart Canada Wildfire Hazard Assessment Forms for all 25 critical infrastructure identified in the 2017 CWPP (with the exception of Woodfibre LNG) and summary report prioritizing areas for future FireSmart treatments.
2. Two neighbourhood FireSmart assessments for 1) North Tantalus/Depot Rd and 2) Paradise Valley will be conducted. Both neighbourhoods are within high and extreme wildfire risk rating based on the 2017 CWPP Update.
