The District of Squamish is seeking a qualified proponent to update and/or re-write its Water Utility Bylaw. The current bylaw was approved in 1980 and no longer reflects water utility best practices. The scope of work includes reviewing the District’s existing utility bylaws (water, sanitary sewer, storm), reviewing utility bylaws of other municipalities, summarizing and presenting findings to the District with recommendations for organization and content of the new Water Utility Bylaw, including potential for consideration an overall approach to organizing and coordinating the District’s utility bylaws. After review with District staff, the Proponent will  complete and update of the existing and/or production of a new bylaw. and assist staff in obtaining Council adoption of the bylaw.
