The District is accepting offers for the supply and installation of covered structures from local contractors in Stan Clark Park and on Cleveland Ave. 

Deliverables

The District of Squamish has recognized a lack of covered structures in the downtown area of Squamish to protect against all season rain/snow. Two (2) covered structures have been proposed for the downtown area.

Whilst the structures will be simple, they need to cover these basic principles;

Scope of Work

-          Design and material selection assistance (working with the District of Squamish) to make sure design matches budget

-          Supply and install; site preparation, footings, post and beam structure, roof structure, roof finish, trim and fascia, paving

-          Engineering and approvals by others

-          Signage by others

Scope of Work / Specification

Both sites

-          Assume rough lumber post and beam (four posts each project)

-          Paint or stain finish TBC

-          Use as much wood as possible

-          Must be wheelchair accessible

-          No gutter or downpipes

-          Metal roof sheeting, light grey in colour OR torch-on with shrubs (green roof) if budget permits

-          Landscape pavers to be Rona 2’ x 2’ concrete patio slab Model #24242

-          Lighting if budget permits

-          Built in seating if budget permits

-          Movable seating if budget permits

Stan Clark Park Site

-          Approximate roof size 16’ x 26’, larger if budget permits

-          Landscape

o   Base to be tamped under pavers

o   Landscape pavers to be Rona 2’ x 2’ concrete patio slab Model #24242

Cleveland Site

-          Approximate roof size 14’ x 20’, larger if budget permits

Timing

-          Request for price tender period to Mar 19th 2021

-          Contract award Mar 20th 2021

-          Design and approval Mar 30th 2021 (will be fast tracked)

-          Construction complete Apr 20th 2021
